More than 30 restaurants from Windsor to Bear River in the running as Burger Wars returns for seventh year in Annapolis Valley, N.S.

Myrtle and Rosie’s Café went into Burger Wars 2021 as the reigning champions after the competition held annually in April was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, Myrtle and Rosie’s Café tied Valley’s BFF in New Minas for first with The Grizzly Burger. - Contributed

Chef John Bartlett, owner of the Capitol Pub in Middleton, and Chef Michelle Friel with the pub’s official entry in the Burger Wars that is in support of Campaign for Kids, a group helping underpriviledged children and youth in Kings County. The Capitol entry, called the Aviator, is a turkey burger with a subtle curry flavor and a cranberry sauce on a bagel bun.
